My Firefighting Husband
11/30/2012

My fondest Thanksgiving memory was the year we celebrated together at the fire house.  My husband of 26 years is a retired fireman and we have celebrated many holidays at the fire station because he was on duty. One year all the families of the crew at "41" celebrated together at the station.  After dinner the wives one by one got to go on a "call". When it was my turn to go, I climbed up on to the fire engine and I put on my head set. I cannot express how exciting it was to see my husband in action on our way to the house of the family in need. I will never forget that night as I watched my husband and the rest of the crew save a man's life.
