God blessed me with an amazing mother-in-law with an even greater sense of humor...just like her son.
Part of the reason we get along so well is the way we speak to each other. Her suggestions always with, "You will probably want to do it your way but...."
It's always, ALWAYS respectful and yes, I often had to do things "my" way. Even though I do usually end up doing things the way I like, doesn't mean I do it the correct way. When I make a mistake she just sweetly smiles.
There is never an "I told you so". Her sweet smiles usually are more like a, "you'll learn" and she's usually right.
