I'm a 26-year-old woman who got married last year. Recently, I've been reading your books "
The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" (
AND Marriage), and "
Ten Stupid Things Women Do to Mess up Their Lives". I absolutely love them.
My husband and I are both very religious, and everything you say affirms our beliefs and values. I feel the same as you do about the permissiveness, moral relativism, nonjudgmentalism and general unwillingness to accept responsibility that we see everywhere these days. I agree with you that the importance of marriage between a man and a woman who have children and raise them together is being attacked. Before we got married, we agreed that we would take our marriage vows very seriously and commit wholeheartedly to each other. Thank you for never bending when people criticize you. We're grateful that someone like you is out there being a light in the middle of all the darkness and confusion.
