Words of Wisdom From a 4-Year-Old

When my son was 4 years old, I took his tiny hand in mine and said, "One day, your hand will be bigger than mine and then you won't need me or your father," whereupon he burst into sobs and cried, "But I need a mommy and a daddy!"

Incidentally, John is now 22-years-old and now and then he still needs us.
