Dr. Laura:

My husband of 23 years doesn't say the words "I love you" very often. 

This past month, we've been trying hard to keep an even keel as his health has been sketchy. But any time I ask him to slow down for me because I'm scared for him, he just looks at me and tells me that I'm the reason for him to keep going. He never has to actually tell me he loves me as long as he keeps telling me that I'm his reason.

I might be scared, but I also know he will fight to stay with me to his last because I am his reason to keep going.
