R-E-S-P-E-C-T

I recently retired at 60 years old so I could spend more time with my grandchildren. I had so many memories of spending time with my parents and I wanted to pass that on.

I heard a call from a lady whose son had found a key to her jewelry box to get access to his phone. The bigger question to me is..."Why did his parent need to lock it up?" When my parents took things away from me, they didn't need to lock them up. They just told me I couldn't use them, and they had raised me to respect them, so I didn't even consider going against their wishes. I don't ever remember being spanked or physically punished. But they were such great role models, respected each of their four children and taught us mutual respect. And I didn't grow up to be a wuss. I was a financial executive at some very large companies. It's amazing to me that parents today need to lock things up rather than to have earned the respect of their children.

I love your show. I agree with so many things you say...and you've also taught me a lot.
