I’ve been listening to you for decades and your wisdom has impacted my life in so many positive ways. My husband and I would not still be happily married after 21 years had it not been for you.
However, it took me some time and creative problem-solving to get my husband on the Dr. Laura bandwagon. He stands all day for work as a hair stylist and really appreciates a foot rub at the end of the day. So, I made him a deal. If he would listen to your show with me, I would give him a foot rub while we listened. Well, that has turned into a regular event in our lives now. He will even specifically request a “Dr. Laura foot rub.”
And lest anyone balk at the fact that I am sacrificing myself just to get my husband to do something I want him to do, I can assure you he repays me with his own sacrifices for my happiness all the time. It’s a give and take, we learned that from you.
