Email of the Day: Marriage Means Being a Team

Written by Dr. Laura | 7/24/24 8:15 AM

Everything I am to my husband and son is because of my mother and YOU. I live my life by this Dr. Laura Mantra: “What can I do today to make my husband happy he married me?” The best part is my hubby knows this and does the same for me!

I listen to all your shows On Demand on my SiriusXM app. Between hearing calls to your program and talking with my friends about their 20-something-year-old kids who are getting married, I’m so thankful I listened and waited to find my husband. All of my friends who got married during their twenties are either divorced or are unhappy. I lived life to the fullest in my twenties. I had fun with friends and had an exciting job. I bought my own condo at age 27. I had a blast!

It wasn’t easy being the bridesmaid and not the bride for so long, but I moved on and kept living. And, looking back, I'm grateful for how it all worked out. It's as simple as you say... choose wisely and treat kindly.

Keep doing what you do. We love you... (my son played “We Will Rock You” on the drums during Corny Joke Day) Best health and love to you and Lily.
