Email of the Day: My Proud Mom Moment

Email of the Day: My Proud Mom Moment

Last week we took our 5 ugly teenagers on a trip to California, which included beautiful Yosemite. One day we were on the tram at Yosemite during the crazy heat wave. I was disappointed to see several young, virile men sitting in seats while plenty of women, including myself and my daughters, were forced to stand.

When I finally got a seat, I told my sons, "If you are EVER on a bus or a train or in a room where women and children are standing, you better offer your seat to them." They looked at me with shocked, with insulted faces and said, "What do you think we're doing, Momma?" I smiled and said, "That's my boys," while the guy sitting next to me squirmed in his seat.

P.S. My 21-year-old kid is a 4.0 honors business major whom I occasionally ask, "What happens if you ever move in with a girl before marriage?" just to hear him say, "I know Mom. You don't ever want to meet her, because if I disrespect her that much, so do you." LOL! Thank you so much for giving me that verbiage!
