I just want to thank you for your show. I had just gotten married and had a baby when I started listening, over 20 years ago. You always stressed the importance of stay-at-home moms. My husband and I both worked outside the home and our child was in daycare. Day-by-day your message became louder and clearer: It was time to quit my job.
Let me tell you, that was the best thing I did!
Our kiddo is now a responsible adult who happens to be on the Autism Spectrum. She graduated college, has a very good job with a government agency and plans on going back to vet school next year. It was HARD on us financially. We did not go on vacations, we kept to a strict budget and lived paycheck-to-paycheck. Our family adventures were outdoor activities like hikes and local site-seeing that cost very little. We made it work!
Today, I cannot stress the gratitude I have for that sound advice.
