I Don't Regret My Choice
11/04/2014

I was privileged to be a stay at home mom for my children's entire lives until they went off to college. I often saw other Moms with "jobs" who were bedraggled, worn out and irritable toward their own family members.

I got all my errands and housework done during the weekdays while the husband and kids were away. Then, when I picked them up from school, I was delighted to see them rested and ready for the long haul of homework, dinner and activities we had ahead of us. On weekends, I didn't do much housework. I reserved my time and energy for the family. I did require the girls to do chores, but we didn't obsess. I wanted the time my children and husband were at home to be joyful. My ultimate goal was for HOME to be a GREAT PLACE to come to! I was often the only family member who really had time to devote to that goal. I have never regretted my choice.
