Podcasting on the iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch
  1. Install the Apple Podcast app from the App Store from this link (If you already have this installed you can skip to the next step): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/podcasts/id525463029).
  2. On your device, open your web browser and go to https://www.drlaura.com/mobile/login.jsp. Enter your username and password. Then, tap "Login" to log into your account.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap the orange "Podcast" button.
  4. The Dr. Laura Full Show podcast will be the second option on the page. Tap the blue "Subscribe to the Podcast" button below the Full Show Podcast heading.
  5. After you tap the blue button, you will be given two options. Tap the "Add to iTunes" option.
  6. A window will pop up that asks "Open this page in 'News'?" Tap the "Open" option.
  7. Your device should switch to the Podcasts app with a window called "Add a Podcast by URL." Tap "Subscribe."
  8. Next, your podcasts will display in the Podcasts app. Once you subscribe to a podcast it will appear in Library. Tap an episode and then tap Play to begin streaming. You can stream podcast episodes you don't want to save on your device, but you will need a continuous internet connection to stream.
  9. Tap the download icon next to an episode to download it. If you download a podcast episode, a copy of the episode will be saved on your device so you can play it anytime even if there's no internet connection.
Podcasting on an Android
To podcast the show directly from your Android phone, you must install a third party app. We suggest the free app "Podcast Addict."
To subscribe to a podcast with a third-party app:
  1. Download "Podcast Addict" by visiting the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bambuna.podcastaddict&hl=en.
  2. On your device, open your web browser and go to http://www.drlaura.com/mobile/login.jsp.
    Enter your username and password. Then, tap "Login" to log into your account.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap the orange "Podcast" button.
  4. The Dr. Laura Full Show podcast will be the second option on the page. Tap the blue "Subscribe to the Podcast" button below the Full Show Podcast heading.
  5. After you tap the blue button, you will be given two options. Tap the "Podcast Feed" option.
  6. If your browser opens the RSS feed, showing a bunch of code, then:
    1. Click in your browser's address bar, long tap on the url to select the full url, and click "Copy."
    2. Open the Podcast Addict app.
    3. Click the plus (+) sign at the top.
    4. Click the three vertical dot icon at the top right.
    5. Click the "RSS feed, YouTube/Twitch channel" option.
    6. The "RSS feed URL" field should already be populated with the DrLaura.com podcast url. If it's not, long click on the field and click "Paste" to paste in the url you copied earlier.
    7. Select the checkbox for "Private Feed" and then tap "Add."
  7. Otherwise if your browser doesn't open the feed and instead you see a window pop up at the bottom of the page that says "Open with," then:
    1. Select the "Subscribe with Podcast Addict" option.
    2. Your device should automatically switch to the Podcast Addict app with a window called "New Podcast."
    3. Select the checkbox for "Private Feed" and then tap "Add."
  8. This will load the podcast on your Android Phone.
Alternatively, the Dr. Laura Call of the Day podcast is available on the Google Podcasts app. You can access it at this link:

Podcasting on a Amazon Fire
To podcast the show directly from your Amazon Fire, you must install a third party app. We suggest the free app "Podcast Addict."
To subscribe to a podcast with a third-party app:
  1. Download "Podcast Addict" by visiting the link https://www.amazon.com/APPDICTIVE-STU. DIO-LLC-Podcast-Addict/dp/B00CNGA1PS.
  2. Once you have installed "Podcast Addict," open your Kindle Fire's web browser and go to http://www.drlaura.com/mobile/podcast.jsp.
  3. Tap the Podcast URL and hold your finger until you get the option "Select All." Tap the "Select All" option.
  4. Press and hold your finger on the Podcasting URL until you get the option to "Copy." Tap the "Copy" option.
  5. Open the Podcast Addict App and tap on the plus button with a circle around it, located on the right hand side.
  6. A menu will open up that will allow you to select a source. When choosing the source, please select "RSS feed, YouTube/Twitch channel, Soundcloud url".
  7. A menu box will then open and hold down the field where you can enter the URL. Hold your finger down and tap "Select All." Then, select "Paste". It will paste the URL from the website into that field.
  8. Tap the box for "Private Feed" to select it.
  9. Next, tap on "Add" to subscribe.
  10. This will load the podcast on your Kindle Fire.
Podcasting on Amazon Echo
To podcast the show directly from your Amazon Echo, you must install a third party skill. The free skill "AnyPod" supports the Dr. Laura Call of the Day podcast.
Playing Dr. Laura Call of the Day on Amazon Echo with Alexa Help:
  1. Open the Alexa app on your iOS or Android device (be sure you have the latest version installed from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
  2. In the Alexa app, tap the menu icon (3 horizontal lines) in the upper left corner of your screen to reveal the menu.
  3. Tap Skills.
  4. Tap the Search bar in the upper right portion of your screen and type "AnyPod" and then tap SEARCH.
  5. When the result AnyPod appears, tap it.
  6. Tap the button Enable. The AnyPod skill will now be enabled for your Echo device.
  7. Speak to your Echo device, say "Alexa, open AnyPod" ... Alexa will respond with "AnyPod at your service".
  8. Speak to your Echo device, say "Alexa, play Dr. Laura Call of the Day" ... Alexa will begin to play the Dr. Laura Call of the Day podcast. If you paused at an older episode and wish to hear the latest release then say, "Alexa, play the latest Dr. Laura Call of the Day".
  9. Note: It's important to say the commands as noted above. Some users may be saying Dr. Laura's (possessive) Call of the Day ... it must be said as "Dr. Laura Call of the Day" - or - you may say "Call of the Day".
