Dads Don't Do Laundry
02/22/2017

Were were getting ready to leave the house when my 4 year old son comes to me, with his shoes and socks in his hands. He asks "Mom, I want you to put these on for me?" I replied, "Honey you need to do things that you're capable of doing on your own; you don't want to be helpless. Someday you're going to have to do a lot of things on your own. You'll be doing your own laundry..."

He stops me and says "No, I'm gonna be a dad. Dad's don't do laundry."

I couldn't help but laugh and immediately text my husband. My husband replied swiftly, "Oh dear..." It made me laugh because it was such an innocent thing for my son to say and he genuinely meant it. LOL

Thanks for always having my back as a stay at home mom. Dr. Laura, you're the best!! I have the best job in the world and I couldn't be more grateful... or tired, but grateful!
