Hi Dr. Laura,
I just read Brianna's email about parenting tips, and wanted to comment on something I see every day on my way to work.
I usually see a woman, standing with her daughter waiting for the school bus. She gives her a big hug and a kiss before she gets on the bus. Then stands and waves and blows kisses when the bus drives away.
I think to myself, "what a terrific way for a kid to start the day". I'm not a parent, but if I was, I'd sure try to practice things like that.
