Our two grown daughters are following the belief that they should answer the questions their children are old enough to ask.
One day one of my daughters was driving with her 4 year old son and 7 year old daughter. My grandson asked "Mom, what's an erection?" Without hesitation, my daughter replied "Well, that's when your penis fills up with blood and it gets hard." After a few seconds, my grandson asked "But why are there signs all over town about it?"
It was another few seconds before my daughter realized there were "election" signs all over town. Yup, he must have heard his parents talking about the upcoming event!
Thanks for your wisdom Dr. Laura. I've been listening since your son was a toddler.
