When Dads Talk, Kids Listen
06/13/2013

When I was 16 years old I was seeing a lot of pregnant girls in my high school. I found this to be strange as I was still a virgin and was taught you do not have sex until you are married. Puzzled by the girls I was seeing, I asked my Dad that night what he would do if I came home pregnant. My Dad looked me in the eye and stated "I hope you have more respect for me than that". Dad didn't say a whole lot, but when he did, all of us kids listened.

Sadly, he passed away at the age of 70 after raising five of us, two grandchildren and a whole lot of our friends and neighbor kids. I'm so thankful my Dad taught me the things he did.
