Dear Dr. Laura,
Whenever my husband and I have a major disagreement about something, we remind each other that the walls have ears, meaning our KIDS' ears. That, in turn, reminds us to we show our kids we can resolve disputes without yelling at one another, so they will learn they too should use that approach.
And the most important thing is to hear each other out before we make judgments. In other words, don't jump to crazy conclusions about things before both sides are heard.
Our kids are learning from our examples, and we continue to learn from each other.
Thank You for all you do.
Sandy
