In 2007, the Washington Post ran an article on the relatively new phenomenon of "email bankruptcy," citing statistics such as: there were 6 trillion business emails sent in 2006; workers were increasing their daily workload... stress levels were increasing... That was five years ago and it hasn't gotten any better...Being a mother who is active in her children's lives, there seems to be no escape from "email overload" for me. More >>

One day last summer I was enjoying myself at the State Fair with my kids until I lost my brand new iPhone. I'd put it in my back pocket so I'd hear my parents call when they arrived. Next thing I knew it was gone. That hot, itchy, hive-like pang of panic reminded me of the time I'd pulled an all-nighter writing an essay in college, only to lose all my work just as the sun was coming up and the deadline loomed near.
